Pantheon Priests, Crazy Arena, new Conquest monsters, new Heist artifact - April 10, 2023 The Tenebris expansion will add some new features to Endless Dungeon (optional Pantheon Priests and Crazy Arena), Conquest (new monsters) and Heist (new Artifact), and their information is further detailed below. Just like previous dev blog pages had mentioned, this is still the preview stage of Tenebris, so some things may be altered balance-wise before release. Endless Dungeon Pantheon Priests Pantheon Priests can sometimes be found near treasure chests, and talking to them will give the player the option of accepting their deity's blessing starting from level 1. Blessings can go as high as level 5 (increasing by 1 for each normal floor the player advances), and there are 12 different blessings. Cerarva's Blessing -- Earth elemental party members gain 10% more damage per blessing level on all but collision damage, while Earth elemental enemies inflict 10% less damage per blessing level. Venta's Blessing -- Wind elemental party members gain 10% more damage per blessing level on all but collision damage, while Wind elemental enemies inflict 10% less damage per blessing level. Vigomendo's Blessing -- Enemies suffering from Stagger, Stun, Knockdown or Knockback suffer an additional 10% damage per blessing level. Heimst's Blessing -- Party members suffer 10% less damage per blessing level. Siligna's Blessing -- Party members gain Attack + 2 per blessing level while in combat. Somnoc's Blessing -- Party members gain more Soul Triad Points from battle at a boost of 10% per blessing level. Sorex's Blessing -- Fire elemental party members gain 10% more damage per blessing level on all but collision damage, while Fire elemental enemies inflict 10% less damage per blessing level. Monlis' Blessing -- Enemies staggered by a party member's block boosts damage from the blocking character's basic attacks by 100% damage per blessing level. Nimbeck's Blessing -- Party members dodging reduces active cooldowns by 0.1 seconds per blessing level. Maraka's Blessing -- Water elemental party members gain 10% more damage per blessing level on all but collision damage, while Water elemental enemies inflict 10% less damage per blessing level. Genasma's Blessing -- Party members have HP Regen at a rate of 1 HP per blessing level. Ferromant's Blessing -- Party members gain more Mez from battle at a boost of 10% per blessing level. Crazy Arena The Crazy Arena is available in Endless Dungeon at the start of all non-boss floors, and allows the player to skip immediately to the boss floor that occurs every 4 levels. What makes the Crazy Arena boss floor different from normal Endless Dungeon boss floors are that the enemies' levels have doubled, there are 16 in total (starting and reinforcements total), and the Field Effect changes every 3 seconds. Unlike normal boss battles, the player is not moved to the next floor immediately upon victory. Instead, they remain to open between 1 and 8 treasures depending on their Endless Dungeon performance -- they get 1 at base, 2 extra for having advanced at least 1 floor in a 4 floor block, 2 extra for having advanced 2 floors in a 4 floor block, 1 extra for having a Pantheon Priest blessing, 1 extra for a Pantheon Priest blessing of at least level 3, and 1 extra for a max level Pantheon Priest blessing. The player will also "cash in" and lose their Pantheon Priest blessing on clearing a Crazy Arena battle. Since the player will get more treasure for finding Pantheon Priests and advancing through floors normally, the Crazy Arena can't be easily abused for treasure, but it can be used to score extra treasure at regular intervals. It is also able to be used to optionally provide tougher boss battles, and to allow players to get Endless Dungeon triumphs faster and find higher level floors/enemies faster. Conquest New monsters will be available for recruit in Conquest when the Tenebris expansion arrives, and there is one new monster per element. Lion-turtle (Fire) -- Has excellent Attack and high Defense, but low HP. Can learn to use area damage Heat Blast at level 20. Torso-teeth (Water) -- Has excellent HP with high Attack and Defense, but learns no abilities. Flying Discs (Wind) -- Has excellent Attack and high Defense, but is expensive. Can learn to Erratic Buzz for multiple dash attacks over an area. Landworms (Earth) -- Has excellent Combat Movement. Can learn low cooldown leap attacks that inflict Stagger. Heist The Tenebris expansion will add a new Artifact to Heist Mode. False Saint's Blade Savage's Worship (ability) -- On use, all Teams become invisible for 3 turns and all chasing comes to an end (except for Thormia and Hellhounds). When the 3 turns expire, all enemies have their sight range boosted by 3 and their movement range is boosted by 3. Flavour Text -- A false saint is better than no saint, I always say. Trivia The addition of the Pantheon Priests and Crazy Arena was a last second addition to the Tenebris expansion, similar to how Heist Mode and Barklord were last second additions to the base game and Legends Overload respectively. |
