Character Guides - Claire - Weapons - May 30, 2020
Like all default weapons, when maxed out, provides an Attack stat boost of 50% (in Claire's case, at max Attack stats, going from 20 to 30). Useful if no particular character build satisfies conditions for other weapons.
At max level, adds Throwing Knife Damage + 200%, which with Claire's Soul Triad passive, lets her deal up to 4x damage with Throwing Knives. Useful for Mind Field Effect builds that take advantage of Cheetah and Sixth Sense to boost Throwing Knife damage and cooldown.
Boosts the damage of Claire's damage-dealing Water Siphon abilities, which include just Waterjet and Torrent. Waterjet is pitiful damage-wise, but Torrent is overall Claire's overall best damage option, making Water Knife great for Water Field Effect builds.
At max level, alongside Claire's Rainstorm passive from her Soul Triad, she can use Rainfall to add up to 24 total waterpools with one Rainfall casting. Since it requires the Water Field Effect, this weapon is primarily just for Water builds.
Claire's Elemental Weapon, protecting her from and influencing the Wind Field Effect. This will really only be used on a Wind Field Effect team build with Cherry and Alberto, where Claire's very speedy basic attacks apply Field Effect quickly and her Throat Jab helps boost the damage of Cherry and Alberto's generally low offense.
While the Mind Field Effect is active, Claire's Throwing Knife inflicts Poison, plus up to an extra 50 Poison damage per second. Invaluable for Mind Field Effect builds, where Claire will get to inflict Poison for 110 damage/second at 10 seconds using Throwing Knife projectiles that have zero cooldown.
Boosts the power of Throat Jab by up to an additive 100% -- essentially from 400% to 500% at max, making for a 25% boost in Throat Jab power. Though this is a sort of diminishing returns, if the primary reason that Claire is in a party is Throat Jab, more Throat Jab power is a plus.
During ANY Siphon Field Effect (Fire, Water, Wind or Earth), Claire's basic attacks can deal up to 4x damage -- which is a boon, given her lack of damage options. This would typically be used with a Water Field Effect (which she would likely be a part of) or the Fire Field Effect with Cook and Jimmy. The Zephyr would likely be her Wind Field Effect weapon, and she typically suffers too much from the Earth Field Effect to use Kay Cutter reasonably.
